Linux Just learned of the the ACCRC - a non profit organization that recycles cast-off computers. Their slogan: "Obsolesence is just a lack of Imagination"

They donate the recycled computers, all of which run Linux, to other non-profit organizations, schools etc. The PCs are built by technicians that are typically referred to them from homeless shelters, rehab programs, and parole officers.

Linux This is an excellent look at the some of the reasons why any organisation should consider the use of FSM/OSS software and operating systems. David does a wonderfull job of bringing the facts and figures of real usage comparisons
and how the figures are arrived at.
No FUD or paid for industry reports HERE Just the facts as David has outlined them.
